Add Rooms

Add your rooms and specify their availability under the Rooms tab.

For each room you will be asked:

  • A name for the room

  • A default rate (which can always be customized per reservation)

  • A description and summary text

    • The room detail page is under active redevelopment. At the moment, the description field is hidden.

    • The summary field is displayed on the primary Stay page (shown in the primary menu).

    • Room descriptions do not support HTML.

  • A cancellation policy

    • The default is 24 hours but can be changed to any short text comment you would like. If you have a more complex cancellation policy, we find it is often useful to create a dedicated page to explain the details.

  • Whether the room is a hostel/shared accommodation room

    • If you mark a room as a hostel/shared accommodation, then it will show up with a shared room flag on the stay page.

  • Number of beds

    • If you mark a room as having multiple beds, reservations will be available per bed, rather than per-room. This is true regardless of whether the shared room flag is checked (this behaviour is slightly confusing and should be improved in the future).

  • You may safely ignore the residents field

  • All rooms require a photo.

After your room is created, you will see it added to the room list on the left hand side of the page.

By default, a room is not reservable. Scroll to the bottom of a specific room's details to enter dates that this room should be reservable by guests, as shown here:

Leave the end date blank for a room with open ended availability.

Note: The end date entered will be reservable. I.e., if you enter an end date of April 15, then the room will be reservable on the night of April 15, but not on April 16.
